Show Me The Monet

I have recently taken part in a new BBC2 art program called“Show Me The Monet” in which you take your art up in front of a hanging committee for some intense intense scrutiny in the hope of getting at least two of the committee accepting your piece.

The Hanging Committee was made up of art Specialists including Charlotte Mullins (Contemporary Art Specialist, writer and broadcaster), David Lee (Art Critic, Editor and publisher of satirical art magazine “The Jackdaw) and Roy Bolton (Art historian and dealer).

The goal of the program was to make into the top 35 artists out of over 1200 that got through to an exhibition at the Royal College of Art and be able to network with gallery owners and art buyers.

Details of each of the artists that made it through can be found on our facebook page Show Me The Artists

Background

I have had an interest in photography since a young age, but have only recently had the funding to take it to another level and start exhibiting my work.

I’ve always had an interest in macro photography. Through focusing in on the finer details it enables the viewer to see everyday objects in a completely different way, challenging their perceptions and even their notions of what constitutes beauty or art.

I’ve also started to extend my portfolio to include some more traditional images, particularly landscapes and travel photography. Whatever your taste there will be something to interest you!

I generally manage to have a few exhibitions a year so you would be interested in coming along to one send me a mail and I will add you to the mailing list.
