PLAYING DURING THE SUMMERDownlands is a very friendly and social badminton club which meet's every Monday at Downlands Sports Centre in Compton. We are currently in the Summer Season so if your normal club is taking a break, why not keep your eye in and come down for a few games. We have players of mixed abilities and are always looking for new members, especially those who want to play League matches (or competitive badminton). Club Information

We have 3 courts from 6:30 to 7:30 for juniors (main season only) and 7:30 to 10pm for adults. We have 3 qualified coaches in the club and often run training sessions. The junior session is always taken by a qualified coach. We play throughout the year and althought the costs are broken out into the main season and the summer season. We generally have a social event at least bi-monthly and there are different trips going on as well, including city breaks, the last one being to Prague, country breaks to Devon, ski trips and there's normally a few people who take part in a badminton tournament in Norway every year with a few days by the sea on the end. The post badminton trip to the pub goes without saying for which we frequent the Crown & Horns in East Ilsley.
